Product description

The OM4 50/125 µm fibre-optic cable is designed as a duplex patch cable with SC-to-SC connectors for professional multimode fibre-optic connections. The 2 m-long assembly is suitable for connections between active and passive network components with matching SC multimode interfaces.

The LSZH sheath is low-halogen and low-smoke. The material properties comply with IEC 60754-2, IEC 60332-1 and IEC 61034. The erica violet sheath colour RAL 4003 allows the OM4 cable to be clearly identified visually in patch panels, distribution frames and structured cabling systems.

The cable is designed for use with active and passive components featuring a compatible SC multimode interface. These include, for example, patch panels, fibre optic distribution frames, splice boxes, media converters and network components with suitable SC connectors or compatible SC adaptors.

The duplex configuration supports connections with separate fibres for the transmit and receive directions in OM4 multimode cabling.

Selection and practical guidelines

Before making a selection, you should check whether both components to be connected have SC multimode interfaces and whether a duplex connection is required.
