A standard IEC extension lead is not connected directly to a Danish wall socket. It uses standardised IEC 60320 connectors and can be used, for example, between PDUs, UPSs, power distribution units and end devices.

Custom-made power cables

Why is there no additional Danish mains plug approval for a pure IEC extension lead? The specific Danish requirements apply to connection to the mains supply and thus, in particular, to country-specific plugs and sockets. An IEC-60320 extension lead does not feature a Danish Type K mains plug, but simply connects compatible appliance connectors to one another. The decisive factors are therefore the technical specifications, the IEC design and the approvals specified for the respective product.
