Scope and purpose

MAG supports customers with centralised standard documentation and reviews specific, risk-based enquiries on a case-by-case basis. The statutory due diligence obligations under the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act rest with companies that themselves fall within the statutory scope of application. According to the BAFA guidelines, there is no provision for transferring these statutory obligations to suppliers.

We aim to make working together as straightforward as possible. We therefore provide the main standard supporting documents and declarations on RoHS, REACH, WEEE/ElektroG, conflict minerals, PPWR, quality management, product safety, social standards and supply chains/LkSG together in this download area.

As a general rule, we cannot sign or separately confirm external customer-specific forms, individually drafted declarations or framework agreements. We use consistent, generally applicable company and compliance statements that are maintained centrally. This keeps their content consistent, up to date and capable of being implemented reliably within our organisation.

  • Document missing? If a required document is unexpectedly not included in the download section, we will be happy to check whether, and to what extent, we can sensibly extend our generally applicable declarations.
  • Legal requirements: We comply with the relevant legal regulations and provide standard documentation that is regularly required for audits and record-keeping.
  • Contractual basis: As a general rule, our General Terms and Conditions and the order and delivery terms agreed in each case apply to the business relationship. Further information is available under Shipping and payment terms.
  • Price and delivery commitments: Price guarantees are only possible to a limited extent due to fluctuating costs of raw materials, production, packaging, freight and procurement. We can generally provide binding commitments for specific orders with a clearly defined scope, quantity and delivery date. For longer-term projects or call-off schedules, we assess the respective options on a case-by-case basis. Background information on why procurement costs sometimes only affect individual items after a considerable delay, and why new production batches may also result in more significant price adjustments, can be found in our information on pricing and procurement.
  • Special requirements: For project-specific solutions, custom cable lengths, target markets or special assemblies, please also refer to our ‘Custom-made Products’ section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does MAG sign customer-specific forms?

As a matter of principle, we do not sign forms, questionnaires or security declarations provided by third parties. Where there is a justified need, MAG may, following an internal review, provide its own relevant declaration on a case-by-case basis.

Is general supplier information available?

Yes. General supplier information is available as separate English and German PDFs, version 2.1. It brings together company and registration details and references to published quality and compliance documents to support supplier onboarding and documentation.

Which compliance documents are available?

Among other things, evidence and declarations are available for RoHS, REACH, WEEE/ElektroG, conflict minerals, PFAS, product safety/GPSR, PPWR, ISO 9001, social standards, supply chain security and the supply chain/LkSG.

Does the PPWR apply to the product itself?

The PPWR regulates packaging and packaging waste. The customer information provided is general guidance and does not constitute a blanket confirmation for a specific product, every type of packaging or every delivery scenario.

Is there a product feed for item data?

Yes, MAG provides a product feed updated hourly with product data, prices, stock levels, descriptions and image information.

Why can prices for individual items vary significantly?

In the case of cables, adaptors and accessories manufactured internationally, changes in raw materials, components, production, packaging, freight and exchange rates may only affect newly arriving goods months later due to long production and delivery times. Our existing stock levels, as well as the manufacturer’s stocks of raw materials and components, can further delay this effect. As a result, a necessary price adjustment for a new production batch may be more pronounced, even though the item had previously been available at a stable price for a long time.

What if a supporting document is missing?

If a required supporting document is missing, we will be happy to check whether our standard declarations can be usefully extended.

Is there any information on supply chain security and the LkSG?

Yes. MAG provides both bilingual general information on supply chain security and customer information on the supply chain, social standards and the LkSG. The security information does not constitute AEO certification or an individual security declaration. We will assess specific, risk-based enquiries on a case-by-case basis.

What does the General Confidentiality Statement mean?

It describes MAG GmbH’s uniform standard for the careful and purpose-specific handling of information entrusted to us. It is general customer information and not an individually concluded confidentiality agreement.
