IEC power extension cables for equipment and power distribution systems

An IEC extension cable does not connect directly to a Brazilian wall socket. It uses standardised IEC 60320 connectors on the equipment side and can be used, for example, between a PDU, UPS, power strip and equipment.

Custom-made power cables

Certification: Test the plug and cable together. The requirements for mains plugs and cables must be considered separately. Even in the case of a pure IEC extension lead, the absence of a Brazilian mains plug does not constitute a blanket exemption for the cable. The specific design, intended use and the necessary certification for the product are decisive.

Note on cable marking: In its manufacturer’s information, Yung Li states 1 April 2026 as the intended implementation date for amended cable marking for certain Brazilian versions. This manufacturer’s date is not a general statutory cut-off date for sales. For existing stock, the marking and certificate status must be clarified on an item-by-item and batch-by-batch basis.
