Mains adapter for Denmark

Mains adapter for Denmark: EAR-compliant plug to Type K

Flagge Dänemark

The DINIC mains adapter for Denmark connects devices with European safety-pin plugs to suitable Danish Type K sockets. The compact, cable-free design is suitable for service equipment, workshop use and temporary on-site applications.

  • Device side: CEE-7/3 earthed socket.
  • Mains side: Danish Type K plug with three pins.
  • Design: black plug adapter in bulk packaging.

Please note when selecting: In addition to the fit, a continuous earth connection is crucial. The adapter does not convert either voltage or frequency; the appliance must be compatible with the local mains supply.

For devices with a replaceable connection cable, you can find power cables for Denmark here as a direct connection solution.

Connecting earthed appliances to Danish Type K sockets

With adaptors for use in Denmark, earthing is particularly important: a Schuko plug does not establish a protective conductor connection when plugged directly into a traditional Danish Type K socket. A mechanical fit alone is therefore not sufficient. For Class I appliances, the protective conductor must be continuously connected from the appliance to a suitable socket.

These points will help you choose

  • Connection direction: The CEE 7/3 socket accommodates the appliance’s earthed plug. The Type K plug is connected to the Danish socket.
  • Socket at the point of use: Check the actual system in place. Not every socket in Denmark is a Type K socket.
  • Electrical requirements: Compare the mains voltage, frequency and power consumption of the appliance with the supply and the permissible rated values of the connection components.
  • Protective earth: An adapter cannot replace a missing earth connection in the installation.

Bulk pack for service and project requirements

The black DINIC CB-A-NDK-FM adapter is available as a bulk item. This is ideal for internal stock issuance, putting together technicians’ kits and procurement for recurring service call-outs. The compact design requires no additional adapter cable.

When is a Danish mains cable worthwhile?

For devices with a detachable power cable, a suitable Danish power cable can eliminate the need for an additional plug connection. You should particularly consider this option when equipping workstations or technical sites on a long-term basis. Further selection guidance can be found in the guide to power cables and adaptors.

Frequently asked questions about power adaptors for Denmark

Does this adapter also work the other way round?

No. The version offered here connects a European earthed plug to a Type K socket. For a device with a Danish Type K plug connected to a German earthed socket, a different connection combination is required.

Is a Denmark adapter also a voltage converter?

No. The plug adapter adapts the plug type. Voltage and frequency remain unchanged. The specifications on the device or its power supply unit are decisive.
