Product description

The OM4 50/125 µm fibre optic patch cable connects fibre optic components with SC duplex interfaces. Both cable ends are pre-terminated with SC duplex connectors. The 5-metre version is suitable, amongst other things, for cross-connect and patch connections in structured building networks, server rooms and data centres.

The cable features two multimode fibres in a duplex configuration. The LSZH sheath is halogen-free in accordance with IEC 60754-2, flame-retardant in accordance with IEC 60332-1 and low-smoke in accordance with IEC 61034. The erica violet version in RAL 4003 facilitates clear identification within an OM4 cabling system.

Compatibility

The patch cable is designed for fibre-optic components with an SC duplex interface, including compatible patch panels, ODFs and fibre-optic connection sockets.

Active network equipment is connected via suitable SC multimode transceivers or adaptors, for example to switches, routers or media converters. The cable is intended for OM4 multimode installations.

Selection and practical guidance

Before ordering, the existing fibre-optic connections should be checked for SC duplex compatibility and the required cable length. For an existing OM4 infrastructure, the fibre specification of 50/125 µm must be taken into account.

According to the manufacturer, customised assemblies are also available for projects requiring different lengths, colours or connector configurations.
