Product description
The OM4 50/125 µm fibre-optic patch cable connects two LC duplex interfaces via a 30 m long multimode fibre-optic link. Both ends of the cable are fitted with LC connectors. The duplex design provides two fibres for the transmit and receive directions.
The cable is suitable for structured building cabling, server and equipment rooms, as well as for connections between active network components and fibre-optic distribution systems. The LSZH sheath is halogen-free and low-smoke. The erika violet sheath colour (RAL 4003) allows the OM4 connection to be clearly identified in patch panels and cable routes.
Applications
- Data centres and server rooms
- Switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections
- SAN and uplink connections
- Floor distribution frames and building backbones
- Patch panels, fibre optic distribution frames and ODF cross-connections
- System integration and in-house network infrastructure

Compatibility
The patch cable is designed for OM4 multimode connections with 50/125 µm fibres and LC duplex interfaces.
These include appropriately equipped SFP/SFP+ modules, switches, media converters, as well as ODF and patch panel systems with LC connectors. The components used must be suitable for the respective multimode connection and the transmission technology employed.
Selection and practical guidance
Before making a selection, the fibre type and connectors of the existing infrastructure should be checked. This cable uses OM4 multimode fibres with a diameter of 50/125 µm and LC duplex connectors on both ends. The 30-metre version is intended for appropriately dimensioned connection routes.
