Product description
The OM4 fibre optic patch cable LC/LC Duplex, 100 m in length, is a pre-terminated multimode fibre optic cable for structured cabling, patch panels and professional IT and telecommunications environments. Both cable ends are fitted with LC duplex connectors.
The OM4 fibre has a core/cladding diameter of 50/125 µm. The duplex design comprises two fibres, thereby enabling separate transmission for the transmit and receive directions. The cable’s outer diameter is approximately 3.0 mm.
The LSZH sheath is low-halogen and is specified on the product side in accordance with IEC 60754-2, IEC 61034 and IEC 60332-1. The erica violet version corresponds to RAL 4003. The specified operating temperature range is between −20 °C and +70 °C.

Technical specifications
Compatibility
The cable is designed for multimode connections with LC duplex interfaces. These include appropriately equipped switches, routers, media converters, as well as LC fibre optic patch panels and patch or splice boxes.
For transceiver connections, the SFP, SFP+ or QSFP module used must have an LC connector and support use with multimode fibre. Specific compatibility depends on the transceiver in question and the network configuration.
Selection and practical guidance
Before installation, the LC duplex interface, OM4 multimode fibre (50/125 µm) and the required cable length of 100 m should be checked for compatibility with the existing infrastructure.
For OM4, the product page specifies typical ranges of up to 1,100 m at 1 Gbit/s, 550 m at 10 Gbit/s and 150 m at 40/100 Gbit/s, depending on the application. The actual usable distance depends in particular on the transceivers and the attenuation budget.
