Product description

The DINIC Cat.6 flat patch cable connects network components via two RJ45 connectors (8P8C). The 5-metre version in white is designed for Gigabit Ethernet connections in patch and termination applications. Thanks to its flat cable geometry of approx. 1.5 × 6.1 mm, the cable is particularly suitable for use where there is limited installation space for conventional round cables.

The PiMF/STP construction, with wires shielded in pairs by metal foil, helps to reduce interference. The RJ45 connectors feature gold-plated contacts and an injection-moulded kink protector with strain relief. This makes the cable suitable, amongst other things, for connecting switches, routers, patch panels, network sockets and Ethernet end devices.

The patch cable is designed for network components with an RJ45 Ethernet interface (8P8C). These include, for example, switches, routers, patch panels, patch sockets, PCs, servers and IP end devices. It is intended for typical copper Ethernet connections in patch and connection applications.

Selection and practical guidance

The flat design is particularly suitable for installations where space is limited, for example behind skirting boards, in shallow cable ducts, and in furniture and rack environments.

When planning PoE connections, the AWG 36 flat cable version must be taken into account. Flat patch cables of this type are generally not recommended for PoE applications.
