Product description
The DINIC Cat.8.1 patch cable, 5 m in length, is a shielded twisted-pair network cable with two RJ45 connectors for structured copper cabling. The cable has been tested up to 2000 MHz and is rated for data rates of up to 40 Gbit/s. This makes it suitable, amongst other things, for connections between patch panels, switches, servers and storage components.
The S/FTP construction combines individually metal-foil-shielded wire pairs (PIMF) with an additional braided shield. The inner conductor is made of 100 per cent copper in AWG 26. The RJ45 connectors feature 50 µ gold-plated contact surfaces and a latch tab protector.
The black LSZH sheath is halogen-free. In addition, the patch cable supports PoE+ in accordance with IEEE 802.3at. The length is marked on the Slimline kink-protection sleeve.

Selection and practical guidance
When planning network links, in addition to the required cable length, the supported category and data rate of the connected network components must also be taken into account.
The 5-metre cable has RJ45 plugs at both ends and is therefore intended for direct patch connections between components with RJ45 sockets. The length is also indicated on the Slimline kink-protection sleeve.
