Product description
The Cat.7 patch cable is designed for short, professional Ethernet connections. The S/FTP cable construction consists of pair-by-pair metal foil screening (PIMF) and an additional overall braided screen. This makes the cable particularly suitable for densely populated network cabinets, patch panels and technical distribution points.
The two RJ45 connectors are Cat.6A-compliant and feature 50 µ gold-plated contact surfaces, latch protection and a slimline kink-protection sleeve. The pair sequence complies with EIA/TIA 568B. With a length of 0.30 m, this version is designed for very short patch runs with minimal cable reserve.
Applications
- Short patch connections between patch panels and switches in 19-inch racks
- Connections between switches, routers, firewalls, servers and patch panels
- Patch cabling in server rooms, data centres and floor distribution points
- Connection of IP telephony and PoE+-capable network devices
- Structured network cabling in office, administrative and technical areas

Compatibility
Suitable for active and passive network components with an RJ45 Ethernet socket, including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, patch panels, data sockets, media converters, as well as IP telephony and telecommunications systems. The patch cable can also be used in existing Cat.5e and Cat.6 infrastructures.
Selection and practical advice
The length of 0.30 m is suitable for very short patch runs, for example between a patch panel and a switch or between directly adjacent devices. Where cables are routed laterally, or where patch brackets or larger port spacings are involved, a longer version should be selected.
For PoE+ applications, the connected devices and the active network equipment must also support IEEE 802.3at.
