Product description

The red DINIC Cat.7 patch cable, 0.30 m in length, connects active and passive network components via two RJ45 connectors in Cat.6A design. The cable is tested up to 600 MHz and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It is also backwards compatible with 10/100/1000 BASE-T.

The S/FTP cable construction combines pair-by-pair metal foil screening (PIMF) with an additional overall braided screen. The inner conductors are made of copper and are rated at AWG 26. To ensure reliable contact, the RJ45 connectors feature 50 µ gold-plated contact surfaces.

The halogen-free LSZH outer sheath is designed for professional building installations and technical areas. At just 0.30 m in length, this version is particularly suitable for short runs within a rack, as well as for patch panel-to-switch and direct device connections. The red cable colour also allows for visual differentiation of network connections.

Selection and practical guidance

The cable length of 0.30 m is designed for short patch runs, for example between directly adjacent ports or between a patch panel and a switch in a network cabinet. Where cables are routed via cable management brackets or where port spacing is greater, a correspondingly longer version should be selected.

The red version can be used for visual identification of different network segments, functions or connection groups. The specific colour assignment remains part of the respective cabling and documentation scheme.
