Product description

The DINIC Cat.7 LSZH patch cable, 3.00 m in length, connects network components via two RJ45 connectors in accordance with the Cat.6A standard. The Cat.7 raw cable used has been tested up to 600 MHz and is suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as backwards-compatible 10/100/1000-BASE-T connections.

The wire pairs are individually shielded with metal foil (PiMF); in addition, the cable features an overall braided shield. This S/FTP construction supports low-interference data transmission in professional network environments. Copper (CU) in AWG 26 is used as the conductor material.

The halogen-free LSZH sheath reduces smoke emission in the event of a fire. For ease of handling, the RJ45 connectors are fitted with latch protection and slimline kink protection sleeves. A length marking on the sleeve facilitates the identification of the 3-metre cable in patch panels and distribution frames.

Compatibility

The patch cable is designed for Ethernet end devices and network components with an RJ45 interface, including switches, routers, patch panels, servers, PCs, IP telephones and access points.

It supports 10/100/1000 BASE-T as well as 10GBase-T in suitable installations. PoE+ in accordance with IEEE 802.3at can be used provided the connected devices support it.

Selection and practical guidance

For patch panels and network distribution units, the length marking on the Slimline kink-protection sleeve makes it easier to identify the correct cable. The latch protection reduces the risk of mechanical damage to the RJ45 latches during insertion and removal.

For 10GBase-T or PoE+ applications, the other network components used must also support the relevant standards.
