USB 2.0 mounting cable, 30 cm, screw-in USB-A
The DINIC USB assembly cable USB-AA-MFS-03 connects a straight USB-A plug to a screw-on USB-A socket. With a cable length of 30 cm, it is suitable for short connections to USB sockets on front panels, mounting bezels and device housings.

Product description
The USB-A socket is mounted on the designated front panel or bezel. The USB-A plug connects it to a compatible USB-A socket within the system. The cable supports USB 2.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 1.1.

Equipment and enclosure construction, 19-inch mounting panels, control cabinets, IT and AV racks, as well as measurement and studio set-ups.

Selection and practical guidance
26 mm refers to the distance between the mounting centres, not the size of the housing cut-out. Ensure that the cut-out, wall thickness, installation depth and screw mounting are suitable for the specific component. Take into account the actual cable route, ensure the cable is laid without tension, and allow sufficient space behind the socket.

Is 26 mm the width of the required cut-out?
No. This specification refers to the distance between the centres of the two mounting points. The shape and dimensions of the chassis cut-out must be tailored to fit the socket.
Does the cable fit directly onto an internal motherboard header?
The cable has a USB-A plug. It requires a suitable USB-A socket and is not designed for direct connection to a motherboard pin header.
Are fixing screws included?
Yes. Two screws are pre-fitted to the USB-A socket. Check that they are suitable for the wall thickness and mounting method of your assembly.
Is 30 cm sufficient for installation?
Measure the intended cable route, including the routing behind the socket. The connection should be routed without any tension on the cable, plug or mounting socket.
Do the screws also lock a plugged-in USB plug in place?
The screws secure the socket to the housing. This does not result in the USB plug inserted from the outside being locked in place.
