USB 2.0 mounting cable, 50 cm, screw-on USB-A
The DINIC USB mounting cable USB-AA-MFS-05 connects a straight USB-A plug to a screw-on USB-A socket. With a cable length of 50 cm, it connects an existing USB-A port to a permanently mounted socket on a front panel, mounting bezel or device housing.

Product description
The 50 cm version connects the internal USB-A port to the designated mounting position. The socket is screwed onto the front panel or mounting bezel; the straight plug is connected to the host system. The cable supports USB 2.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 1.1.

Equipment and enclosure construction, 19-inch rack panels, patch panels, control and operator panels, as well as studio and AV installations.

Selection and practical guidance
26 mm refers to the distance between the mounting centres, not the size of the housing cut-out. Ensure that the cut-out, wall thickness, installation depth and screw mounting are suited to the specific component. Take into account the actual cable route, ensure the cable is laid without tension, and allow sufficient space behind the socket.

Is 26 mm the width of the required cut-out?
No. This specification refers to the distance between the centres of the two mounting points. The shape and dimensions of the chassis cut-out must be selected separately to match the socket.
Does the cable fit directly onto an internal motherboard header?
The cable has a USB-A plug. It requires a suitable USB-A socket and is not designed for direct connection to a motherboard pin header.
Are fixing screws included?
Yes. Two screws are pre-fitted to the USB-A socket. Check that they are suitable for the wall thickness and mounting method of your assembly.
Is 50 cm sufficient for installation?
The actual cable run from the USB-A port to the mounting socket is the determining factor. Take into account the routing behind the front panel and lay the cable without applying any tension to the plug or socket.
Do the screws also lock a plugged-in USB plug in place?
The screws secure the socket to the housing. This does not result in the USB plug inserted from the outside being locked in place.
