Product description

The DINIC HDMI to DVI-D cable connects HDMI Type-A interfaces to DVI-D devices. The 2.00 m-long cable is fitted with a 19-pin HDMI Type A plug at one end and a digital DVI-D plug at the other.

This pre-assembled adapter cable is suitable for professional AV and IT environments where devices with HDMI and existing DVI-D components need to be connected to one another. These include, for example, workstations, presentation systems and existing installations with DVI-D monitors or projectors.

A digital video signal is transmitted via the DVI-D connection. DVI-D does not carry an audio signal with this connection. If the DVI-D side is used, any required audio must therefore be transmitted separately. The black cable features gold-plated contacts and is supplied in a DINIC box with a Euro-hole.

Compatibility

The cable is designed for digital video connections between HDMI Type-A ports and DVI-D devices. It can, for example, be used to connect an HDMI source – such as a graphics card, laptop dock, media player or AV switch – to a monitor or projector with a DVI-D port.

The DVI end is designed for DVI-D and therefore for digital signals. The cable is not intended for use with DVI-A as an analogue interface.

Notes

Note regarding audio: DVI-D does not transmit an audio signal with this connection. If sound is required in addition to the image, the audio signal must be routed separately.

Before making a selection, check the available interfaces on the source and destination devices. The cable connects HDMI Type A to DVI-D and is intended for digital video signals. For applications using DVI-D, any required audio connection must be planned separately.
