Product description

The DINIC DisplayPort to HDMI cable DP-HDMI-2PB connects DisplayPort outputs on PCs, laptops, docking stations or workstations to HDMI Type-A inputs on monitors, displays, projectors and AV devices. The 2.00 m long black adapter cable supports video resolutions up to 1920 × 1080p at 60 Hz.

The cable operates passively and unidirectionally. Signal transmission takes place exclusively from the DisplayPort source to the HDMI display. The 20-pin DisplayPort connector features a locking mechanism that reduces the risk of accidental disconnection from the source device.

The cable construction comprises AWG 32 conductors and a combined foil and braided shield. Gold-plated contacts complete the design. The cable is supplied individually in a DINIC polybag.

Compatibility

A DisplayPort output is required on the source device, such as a PC, laptop, docking station or workstation. An HDMI Type A input is required on the destination device, such as a monitor, projector, display, TV or a compatible AV component.

The cable is intended exclusively for the DisplayPort → HDMI signal direction. It cannot be used to connect an HDMI source to a DisplayPort input.

Notes

Note the signal direction: The cable is passive and unidirectional. The DisplayPort plug is connected to the signal source and the HDMI plug to the input of the destination device. An active signal converter is required for HDMI → DisplayPort.

Selection and practical guidance

Before purchasing, check the connection type, signal direction and required video resolution. A maximum resolution of 1920 × 1080p at 60 Hz is specified for this product. The 2.00-m version is suitable for short to medium-length connections in professional IT and AV installations.
