Product description

The DINIC DisplayPort to HDMI cable DP-HDMI-1KB connects a DisplayPort source to a display device with an HDMI Type-A input. The 1.00 m long black adapter cable features a 20-pin DisplayPort plug with a locking mechanism and an HDMI Type-A plug. It supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz, including 1920 × 1080p at 60 Hz.

The cable is designed for audio and video transmission and operates passively and unidirectionally. The intended signal direction runs exclusively from the DisplayPort source to the HDMI display device. Suitable source devices include, for example, PCs, laptops and workstations; on the receiving end, monitors, displays, TVs or projectors with a corresponding HDMI input can be used.

The cable construction specifies AWG 32 conductors as well as foil and braided shielding. The DisplayPort connector features a locking mechanism, and the contacts are gold-plated. This variant is supplied in a DINIC box with a Euro-hole.

Compatibility

The source device requires a DisplayPort output that supports HDMI-compatible output. The product page lists DisplayPort and DP++ as suitable source interfaces.

The destination device must have an HDMI Type-A input, for example on a monitor, display, TV, projector, AV receiver or HDMI switch. The cable is not intended for the HDMI → DisplayPort signal direction.

Notes

Note the signal direction: The cable operates passively and exclusively in the DisplayPort source → HDMI display direction. An active converter is required for the reverse direction, from an HDMI source to a DisplayPort input.

Selection and practical guidance

Before purchasing, check the signal direction, connectors and required resolution. The maximum specified resolution is 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz; 1920 × 1080p at 60 Hz is also supported. The DisplayPort output must provide an HDMI-compatible signal.
