Product description
The DINIC HDMI 2x1 switcher is a bidirectional HDMI switcher for professional AV and IT installations. Via three HDMI-A sockets, the device can be used either as a 2-to-1 switch for two signal sources and one display, or as a 1-to-2 switch for one source and two displays.
In 1-to-2 mode, the HDMI signal is switched to one of the two connected displays at a time; simultaneous output to both displays is not supported. Selection is made via the button on the unit. Connected devices are automatically detected.
The switcher supports up to 4K@60Hz and a maximum bandwidth of 18 Gbit/s. Features supported include 4:4:4 colour sampling, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0, as well as HDR10, HLG, ARC, CEC, HEC, HDCP 2.2 and 3D. The compact metal housing in Space Grey is designed for installation, system integration and service applications.

Compatibility
The switch is designed for HDMI sources and HDMI sinks with an HDMI-A port. These include, for example, PCs, laptops, media players, receivers, consoles and cameras, as well as displays, projectors and monitors with an HDMI-A input.
It can be used in HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 environments and is backwards compatible with older HDMI standards. The actual usable resolution and functionality depend on the entire HDMI signal chain.
Selection and practical guidance
For 4K@60Hz, the product specifications state a maximum total cable length of 3 m when using 28 AWG HDMI cables. For 4K@30Hz, a total length of up to 10 m is specified with 28 AWG cables.
When used as a 1-to-2 switch, the device is used to switch between two displays. The signal is not distributed to both outputs simultaneously.
