Product description

The DINIC DisplayPort 1.4 DP-to-DP cable connects DisplayPort-compatible signal sources to monitors, professional displays or projection systems. The 5-metre version transmits digital audio and video signals with a bandwidth of up to 32.4 Gbit/s in HBR3 mode.

It supports resolutions of up to 7680 × 4320 at 60 Hz, 5120 × 2880 at 120 Hz and 3840 × 2160 at 240 Hz. The actual usable resolution and refresh rate depend on the connected system and the respective signal configuration. Supported features include HDR10, DSC, Adaptive-Sync, 3D and colour sampling at 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0.

The cable features triple shielding to ensure interference-free signal transmission. AWG-30 copper conductors, moulded connectors with kink protection and the locking mechanism on the DisplayPort plugs make it suitable for use in professional IT and AV installations. The black PVC round cable has a diameter of approx. 7.1 mm.

Selection and practical guidance

To achieve the specified high resolutions and refresh rates, both the signal source and the display device must support the relevant DisplayPort configuration. Colour sampling, DSC and other signal parameters influence the combination of resolution and refresh rate that can actually be used. With a length of 5 m, this version is suitable for installations where there is a greater distance between the signal source and the display.
