Product description

The DINIC SCART-HDMI converter, with item number SCART-HDMI-O, is designed to convert analogue video and audio signals from devices with a SCART output to a digital HDMI interface. The input is a SCART socket and the output is an HDMI socket. The signal is converted exclusively from SCART to HDMI.

The converter processes the incoming analogue AV signals and provides resolutions of 800x600@60Hz, 1024x768@60Hz, 1280x1024@60Hz, 720p@50/60Hz and 1080p@50/60Hz via the HDMI output. This allows older video sources with a SCART output to be integrated into HDMI-based display and AV systems.

Power is supplied via the included external 5V power supply unit. The cable length of the power adaptor is approx. 110 cm. The item is supplied in a DINIC bulk box.

Compatibility

The converter is designed for source devices with a SCART output and target devices with an HDMI input. These include, for example, satellite receivers, DVD players, VHS or digital recorders, and games consoles with a SCART output on the source side, and televisions, monitors, projectors or HDMI matrix/switch systems on the output side.

Important: Signal conversion works exclusively from SCART to HDMI. Conversion from HDMI to SCART is not possible with this product.

Selection and practical guidance

Before use, check the signal direction of the devices involved: the analogue source must have a SCART output, whilst the target device must have an HDMI input.

When planning the display resolution, in addition to 720p and 1080p, the PC resolutions 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024 are also available, each at 60 Hz.
