Product description

The DINIC SCART-HDMI adapter serves as a compact converter for analogue video and audio signals from SCART sources to a digital HDMI interface. The integrated signal processing converts the incoming analogue video and audio signals into an HDMI signal and upscales them to up to 1080p@60Hz. This means that older devices with SCART output can still be integrated into modern HDMI-based installations.

Common TV formats such as PAL, various NTSC variants, SECAM as well as PAL-M and PAL-N are supported. Several resolutions are available for the HDMI output, including 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 as well as 720p and 1080p, each at 50 or 60 Hz. This makes the adapter suitable for both classic 4:3 applications and modern 16:9 displays.

Power is supplied via an external 5V power supply unit (included in the scope of delivery). With a cable length of the mains adapter of approx. 110 cm, the converter can be flexibly positioned in the rack, in the cabinet or behind the display. The DINIC Bulk Box enables space-saving storage and facilitates output in a professional environment, e.g. in a workshop or warehouse.

The converter is designed exclusively for the SCART (analogue) to HDMI (digital) direction and is not suitable for the reverse signal path. This enables clear planning of the signal routing in installations and reduces incorrect installations.

Compatibility

Suitable for source devices with SCART output (e.g. older SAT receivers, DVD players, VHS or digital recorders, games consoles with SCART) and target devices with HDMI input, such as modern televisions, monitors, projectors or HDMI matrix/switch systems. The adapter only works in the SCART to HDMI direction.
