The DINIC SCART plug with IN/OUT switch serves as a universal AV adapter for devices with a 21-pin SCART socket and analogue cinch or S-Video connections. Audio and video signals are routed via the SCART plug either to the TV set or from a SCART device to a recording or converter device.

On the adapter side, there are 3 RCA sockets for composite video and stereo audio and a 4-pin mini DIN socket for S-Video. This makes the adapter particularly suitable for connecting DVD players, set-top boxes, games consoles, video recorders or converters to SCART equipment.

The integrated IN/OUT switch makes it easy to adjust the signal direction directly on the adapter. This reduces rewiring work and facilitates flexible use in service, test set-ups and temporary installations.
