The IEC double socket (socket/socket) is used as an inline coupling for the direct connection of two TV/radio IEC coaxial cables with antenna plugs. This allows existing cable runs to be extended quickly or cable sections to be bridged during servicing without having to re-route the entire connection.

The metal design ensures a robust, durable plug connection. The plastic sheath in the centre acts as a protective and gripping surface, supports clean plugging and unplugging and reduces the risk of damage during frequent changeovers in the field.
