Product description

The 48W USB car charger provides two charging ports for mobile USB devices in the vehicle. The USB-C port supports Power Delivery 3.0 and PPS with up to 30 W, whilst the USB-A port supports Quick Charge 3.0 with up to 18 W. The adapter is powered via a 12–24 V DC vehicle power socket.

Fixed PD power profiles up to 30 W and PPS are available for the USB-C port. The USB-A output supports QC 3.0. Both ports can be used simultaneously. This makes the charging adapter suitable for smartphones, tablets and other compatible USB devices in mobile, commercial and technical applications, amongst other things.

Compatibility

Suitable for vehicles with a 12–24 V DC on-board power socket or cigarette lighter socket. The USB-C output is designed for compatible USB-C Power Delivery devices, including PPS-enabled devices. The USB-A output supports QC 3.0. For devices without a supported fast-charging protocol, power is supplied at 5 V.

Notes

A fast-charging cable is not included. To utilise the respective fast-charging capability, the device and the cable used must support the relevant charging protocol and the required power output.

Selection and practical advice

Before use, check which charging protocol the device to be connected supports. The USB-C port is available for USB-C devices with Power Delivery or PPS; the USB-A port can be used for QC 3.0-compatible devices. The vehicle’s on-board power supply must be within the range of 12–24 V DC.
