Product description

The DINIC C13 to C14 power extension cable is a 2.00 m long IEC 60320 extension cable for professional power connections. The cable features an IEC 60320 C14 plug and an IEC 60320 C13 socket. It is therefore suitable for extending an existing power supply to IT equipment, for example between a PDU or UPS with a suitable C13 output and a device with a C14 input.

The conductor cross-section is 3×1.0 mm²; 17 AWG / 3C is given as a reference. The rated current is 10 A. Depending on the region of approval, the cable is designated as H05VV-F, SJT 17/3 or HVCTF 1.0/3. The combination of several international approvals and markings supports its use in appropriately planned international equipment, OEM and infrastructure projects.

Technical data

The connection direction is crucial for product selection: the C14 plug on the extension cable is connected to a C13 socket or C13 coupler. The cable’s C13 coupler is plugged into an IEC 60320 C14 appliance socket. This makes the extension cable suitable, for example, for servers, PCs, monitors and network components, as well as PDU/UPS environments with the appropriate IEC connections.

C13 and C14 refer to different connectors. On this extension lead, the C14 plug is on the mains supply side and the C13 socket is on the appliance side. Before purchasing, the connector type, rated current and requirements of the entire power path should be checked.

The length of 2.00 m provides more clearance between the power distribution unit and the end device and is suitable, for example, for rack, PDU, UPS and equipment cabling where a short 1-metre connection is insufficient. When selecting the cable, particular attention should be paid to the existing C13/C14 connection orientation, the conductor cross-section of 3×1.0 mm² and the rated current of 10 A.
