Product description

The DINIC USB 2.0 to RS232 adapter provides a serial RS232 interface with a D-Sub 9-pin connector on a USB host. This allows existing serial devices with a DB9 socket to be connected to PCs, industrial PCs, laptops and other suitable USB systems that lack a native serial interface.

The USB-to-serial conversion is handled by the FTDI FT232RL chipset. The converter supports USB 2.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 1.1. The included USB extension cable, approximately 0.80 m in length, provides additional flexibility during installation, servicing and configuration. The adapter is suitable, amongst other things, for existing RS232 infrastructures in IT, system integration and industrial applications.
