Product description

The DINIC OM4 outdoor fibre-optic cable is a pre-terminated multimode breakout cable with four OM4 fibres in the 50/125 µm format. The 50-metre version is terminated with LC connectors at both ends and is intended for professional fibre-optic links in network and infrastructure applications.

The U-DQ(ZN)BH cable construction is designed for outdoor sections and demanding transition installations. A layer of E-glass yarn serves as an additional barrier against rodent intrusion. The black cable sheath is halogen-free and flame-retardant.

When planning network links, typical guidelines are up to 1,100 m at 1 Gbit/s, up to 550 m at 10 Gbit/s, and up to 150 m at 40 or 100 Gbit/s. The actual usable distance depends, amongst other things, on transceivers, the attenuation budget and installation conditions.

Compatibility

Suitable for multimode OM4 links with LC interfaces, such as LC patch panels, LC connectors and active network components with corresponding LC ports. In SFP, SFP+ or QSFP environments, actual usability depends on the transceiver used, the patching configuration and the port assignment.

Notes

As it is reusable, a pull-through aid is not included with the cable and is available as a separate accessory if required.

Before installation, the LC interfaces, fibre type and port configuration of the components used should be checked against the planned route.

The transmission distances specified are approximate. The actual achievable distance is determined, amongst other things, by the transceiver, attenuation budget, connection points and installation conditions.
