Product description

The DINIC OM4 fibre-optic patch cable (LC/SC) is a pre-terminated duplex multimode cable with 50/125 µm fibres. The 50-m version connects LC duplex to SC duplex connectors and is designed for structured fibre-optic cabling in professional IT and network environments.

The LSZH outer sheath is halogen-free in accordance with IEC 60754-2, flame-retardant in accordance with IEC 60332-1 and low-smoke in accordance with IEC 61034. With an outer diameter of approx. 3.0 mm, the patch cable is suitable, amongst other things, for connections between patch panels, distribution systems and active network components with compatible multimode interfaces.

The patch cable is designed for multimode connections using 50/125 µm OM4 fibre and compatible LC and SC connectors. These include, for example, patch panels, splice boxes, switches, routers, servers, media converters and storage systems with suitable multimode connectors or fibre-optic transceivers.

When integrating into existing OM3/OM4 infrastructures, the fibre type, the transceivers used and the technical requirements of the entire transmission path must be taken into account.

Selection and practical guidance

Before placing an order, the required cable length of 50 m, the connector combination (LC duplex to SC duplex) and the required OM4 multimode fibre type (50/125 µm) should be verified. The transmission performance is also determined by the optical transceivers used and the total fibre-optic link length.
