Product description
The OM4 fibre optic patch cable LC/LC duplex with 50/125 µm multimode fibres is designed for structured fibre optic cabling and active OM4 links in professional IT and telecommunications environments. Both cable ends are pre-terminated with LC duplex connectors. The two fibres enable typical duplex connections for transmission and reception.
The LSZH sheath is halogen-free, flame-retardant and low-smoke. With a length of 50 m, the cable is suitable, amongst other things, for connections between switches, patch panels, servers, media converters and suitable transceivers with an LC interface. The erica violet sheath colour (RAL 4003) facilitates clear identification within OM4 cabling systems.

Compatibility
The cable is designed for multimode OM4 links with LC duplex interfaces. Both ends require a suitable LC duplex connector.
Suitable terminations include, amongst others, LC ports on switches, patch panels and media converters, as well as SFP, SFP+ or QSFP transceivers, provided these are fitted with the appropriate LC interface.
Selection and practical guidance
When planning a fibre-optic link, the fibre type and connection technology must be compatible with the components used. This cable utilises OM4 multimode fibres and LC duplex connectors at both ends.
Typical guidelines for OM4 links are up to 1,100 m at 1 Gbit/s, up to 550 m at 10 Gbit/s and up to 150 m at 40/100 Gbit/s. The actual achievable transmission distance depends on the transceivers used, the attenuation budget and the installation.
