Product description

The Cat.6/5 2-port network socket is designed for fixed, structured network cabling with two RJ45 sockets at a single installation point. Both RJ45 sockets are fully shielded and angled at 40°. This allows for compact cable routing, particularly where space is limited in the installation area or within a cable duct.

The wires of the installation cable are connected via LSA cut-and-crimp terminals. Twisted-pair installation cables with conductor sizes ranging from AWG 22 to 24 are supported. The cable can be fed in horizontally from the right, left or both sides; a clamping screw provides strain relief.

The network socket can be installed flush-mounted, surface-mounted or in a cable duct. A suitable housing is included for surface mounting. The socket supports PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ applications within the scope of the respective cabling and system design.

Compatibility

Suitable for twisted-pair installation and run cables with conductor sizes ranging from AWG 22 to 24 featuring an LSA termination, as well as for RJ45 patch cables and RJ45 system components in Cat.6 and Cat.5e networks.

The socket can be used for network connections to devices with an RJ45 interface, such as PCs, routers, switches, access points or IP telephones. PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ operation depends on the cabling used and the overall system.

Notes

A suitable LSA termination tool is required to terminate the wires. The specified conductor range of AWG 22–24 must be taken into account when selecting the installation cable.

Selection and practical guidance

The dual version is suitable for installation points where two separate network connections are required. The supplied surface-mounted housing can be used for surface-mounted installations.

The horizontal cable entry from the right, left or both sides allows the cable routing to be adapted to the specific installation situation. The 40° angled RJ45 sockets facilitate compact routing of the connected patch cables.
