Product description

The DINIC Cat.6 flat patch cable connects network components via two RJ45 connectors (8P8C). The 2-metre version in white is designed for 10/100/1000BASE-T and frequencies up to 250 MHz.

With external dimensions of approx. 1.5 × 6.1 mm, the flat cable design is particularly suitable for installations with limited space, for example behind skirting boards, in narrow cable ducts or within furniture and rack environments. The PiMF/STP shielding reduces interference affecting the twisted pairs.

Compatibility

The patch cable is designed for network components with an RJ45 Ethernet interface (8P8C), including switches, routers, patch panels, access points and IP telephones.

It can also be used with suitably equipped PCs, workstations, servers, NAS systems, network printers and Ethernet components used in industrial and building automation.

Notes

According to the product specification, this flat patch cable is not suitable for PoE applications.

Selection and practical guidance

The flat design is particularly suitable for cable routes where there is limited vertical clearance for a round network cable. Before installation, check whether a cable length of 2 m is sufficient for the intended connection.

For Power over Ethernet applications, an alternative network cable suitable for this purpose must be selected in accordance with the product specification.
