This FireWire connection cable (IEEE 1394a, 6-pin to 6-pin) is designed for connecting FireWire 400 peripherals in existing environments - e.g. for service calls, retrofit projects or in media/audio setups with legacy hardware. The double shielding supports stable transmission even in installation environments with interference.

The transparent jacket makes it easier to visually check the routing and condition in the patch panel, rack or cable duct. The 10 m version offers additional flexibility when placing devices and for temporary measurement/maintenance set-ups.
