Description

The HQ Toslink cable is used for the optical transmission of digital audio signals between devices with a Toslink interface, e.g. set-top boxes, streaming clients, Blu-ray players, audio converters or AV receivers. The signal is transmitted via a POF fibre (polymer optical fibre) and is therefore insensitive to electrical and magnetic interference from the environment.

The cable construction as a round cable with an outer diameter of approx. 6 mm offers a robust compromise between mechanical stability and flexible installation. The PVC inner sheath is supplemented by a black textile outer sheath, which protects the surface better against abrasion and at the same time offers a high-quality feel. This is particularly advantageous for frequent reconnection or when used in media technology racks.

The moulded Toslink connectors with anodised metal housings and gold-plated contact surfaces ensure a permanently stable connection and reduce mechanical stress on the fibre. Bend protection at both ends increases the service life in professional applications, for example with tight bending radii or frequent movement of the connected devices.
