Product description

The DINIC Cat.6 flat patch cable, 3.0 m in length, connects network components via two RJ45 connectors (8P8C). It is designed for 10/100/1000BASE-T and thus for Gigabit Ethernet connections in structured copper networks.

The flat cable design, with external dimensions of approx. 1.5 × 6.1 mm, allows it to be routed through narrow cable ducts, behind skirting boards and through furniture and rack cable management systems. The PiMF/STP version shields the wire pairs with metal foil. Gold-plated contacts and an injection-moulded kink protector with strain relief complete the design for professional patching and connection applications.

Note on PoE

According to MAG, the DINIC Cat.6 flat patch cables in this product group are not suitable for PoE (Power over Ethernet) applications.

Selection and practical guidance

With external dimensions of approx. 1.5 × 6.1 mm, this 3-metre flat version is particularly suitable for RJ45 connections where installation space is limited. When selecting this product, the required cable length, Cat.6 requirements, RJ45 connectors and the suitability of the application (excluding PoE) should be taken into account.

FAQ
