The DINIC adapter cable connects DisplayPort outputs on a PC, notebook or docking station with HDMI inputs on monitors, displays or TV sets. The DisplayPort plug is equipped with a locking mechanism and therefore supports a secure, strain-relieved connection for professional use.

Important regarding signal direction: DisplayPort-to-HDMI cables and passive adapters always work monodirectionally and only work in the direction DisplayPort (source) → HDMI (display). Technical background: A DisplayPort output can output an HDMI signal; however, no DisplayPort signal is present at an HDMI port. An active converter (signal converter) is required for the opposite direction (HDMI → DisplayPort).

The combination of foil and braided shielding as well as gold-plated contacts supports stable transmission in typical installation environments (workplace IT, rollout, service).
