The adapter enables the adaptation of an IEC 60320 C14 supply (e.g. from PDU/UPS/power distribution units with C13 sockets) to an IEC 60320 C7 coupling for supplying devices with a C8 device inlet (Euro-8). This allows existing power distributions in server rack, system integration and industrial environments to be used flexibly without having to replace the entire supply cable.

Note on the electrical design: The C7 side has a 2-pole design; a protective earth conductor is not provided at the C7 interface due to the system. Suitability must be checked based on the connected device/power supply requirements.
