Product description
This power cable connects a South African mains connection (plug type M, 3-pin) with an IEC 60320-C5 appliance coupler ("cloverleaf"). The design with 3 cores (outer conductor, neutral conductor, protective conductor) enables standard-compliant protective conductor routing for protection class I devices.
The H05VV-F cable version with 3×0.75 mm² is designed for flexible installation in typical IT/office and technical installations. The asymmetrical geometry of the type M plug (protective conductor contact) results in a defined plug-in position, which simplifies orientation in the installation environment.
The IEC 60320-C5 coupling is intended for applications up to 2.5 A; when planning devices, take into account the current consumption and the device specification (in particular temperature conditions at the connection).
