The adapter is used to adapt an HDMI connection to a DVI-D interface. The version with HDMI type A socket enables the use of existing HDMI cables, while the DVI-D (24+1) plug is plugged directly into DVI-D sockets on monitors, projectors, KVM systems or graphics cards.

The moulded housing is designed for professional use and protects the contacts from frequent reconnection. Gold-plated contacts support a reliable connection under different environmental conditions in everyday installation and service work. The actual achievable resolution/bandwidth depends on the source device, the DVI-D remote station and the cabling used.
