This adapter cable connects a DisplayPort output signal (e.g. PC/notebook/docking station) to a monitor/TV/projector with HDMI input. In general, all DisplayPort (DP) to HDMI cables and/or passive adapters are monodirectional, i.e. they only work in the DP to HDMI (monitor) direction.
