Description
The YL-212 power adapter is used for mechanical interface adaptation of devices with NEMA 5-15 plug (3-pin) to socket/supply connections with NEMA 1-15 receptacle (2-pin) in the Japanese/US environment. The version with external earthing (ext. earth) enables - depending on the installation - a separate connection of the protective earth conductor if only a 2-pole mains connection is available at the supply connection.
The adapter is designed for typical small consumer applications in the low-voltage range. For US devices in Japan, the regional mains frequency (50/60 Hz) must be taken into account, as this may be relevant to the function or performance.
