The CB-A-NSA-FM (YL-8023) power adapter establishes the connection of earthed appliances via a CEE 7/3 socket to socket outlets in the type M system (ZAF 3-pin). This allows type M installations to be connected on the mains side without having to replace the device supply cable.

Type M is widely used in South Africa. In India, the type D plug is the standard in many installations. Type M installations up to 16 A are frequently used there for applications with higher currents. Type M has a larger design and is not compatible with type D - the local plug system must therefore be checked before use.

The adapter is only used for contacting between the connector systems and does not replace a voltage or frequency converter.
