Description
This power cable connects sockets in accordance with the South African standard (type M / BS 546) with devices that have an IEC 60320 C14 appliance inlet (connection via C13). The protective earth conductor is designed as a separate contact pin; the design is reverse polarity protected and suitable for installation-related applications.
The cable is designed as H05VV-F with PVC core insulation and PVC outer sheath. The conductor cross-section 3G 1.0 mm² supports a resilient power supply and reduces voltage drop compared to smaller cross-sections - advantageous for longer supply lines in technical rooms, racks and system installations.
The IEC 60320 C13 cold appliance plug is designed for applications without increased heat generation at the appliance inlet (plug temperature typically up to 70 °C). This makes the cable a practical standard supply cable for professional IT, AV and industrial peripherals.
