Description: black
The pre-assembled mains cable connects a Japanese mains socket (type A / JIS C 8303) to the IEC 60320 C7 appliance coupler. The C7 coupling is designed for devices with an IEC 60320 C8 device inlet (e.g. many small appliance and consumer electronics power supplies). The conductor cross-section of 2×0.75 mm² supports a stable power supply in the typical power range of insulated terminal devices.
The Japanese type A plug (2-pin) is designed with two parallel flat contacts and is usually used in 125 V networks in Japan. The IEC 60320 C7 appliance coupler (colloquially known as "Euro-8") is designed for compact appliance inlets; the maximum operating temperature at the connector is generally designed for 70 °C.
Since 18 September 2015, a "Proof Tracking Index (PTI)" test and a "Glow Wire Ignition (GWI)" test must be passed for Japanese connectors. The corresponding certificates are available in the shop area "Downloads/Documents".
