Cable description
This OS1 single-mode fibre optic cable (9/125 µm) is designed as a duplex patch cable for professional use in structured building cabling and telecommunications environments. The SC/SC connector assembly enables a direct patch connection between active components, patch panels and fibre optic distribution panels.
The LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket supports installations in areas with increased smoke and halogen-free requirements. The duplex design (two fibres) enables a clean Tx/Rx assignment in bidirectional links; the yellow jacket colour is used for quick identification of single-mode links.
The specified ranges depend on transceivers/optics, attenuation budget, connector and splice quality as well as the routing. Suitable OTDR/attenuation measurements are recommended for acceptance measurements.
