Cable description
This fibre optic patch cable in OS1 single-mode design (9/125 µm) is designed for low-loss point-to-point connections in professional fibre optic infrastructures. The duplex design supports bidirectional links (Tx/Rx) via two separate fibres and is therefore suitable for switch/transceiver connections and patch panel cabling.
The LSZH sheath is designed for reduced smoke development and low-halogen properties and therefore supports installation environments in which a low-smoke cable structure is required. The compact outer diameter of approx. 1.8 mm facilitates routing in densely occupied marshalling areas, cable ducts and in the rack.
Typical ranges depend on the transceiver and the route; the following are frequently cited as a practical guide: 1G/10G up to approx. 40 km and 40G/100G up to approx. 10 km (depending on optics and budget).
