Description
The USB C/C/A power supply provides two USB-C PD outputs (USB-C1/USB-C2) and one USB-A output for mixed device fleets. Power Delivery 3.0 negotiates defined voltage/current profiles up to 65 W. PPS (Programmable Power Supply) enables finer voltage adjustment for compatible devices to reduce power loss and heating during charging.
A fixed power distribution is stored for parallel charging processes. This allows, for example, notebooks/tablets to be operated at high power via the USB-C port, while other consumers are supplied via the second USB-C port or USB-A (QC 3.0). In practice, the achievable charging power depends on the end device, the charging protocol and the USB cable used (cross-section/quality/electronics); suitable USB-C cables are required for PD power classes.
