The DINIC DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cable connects a DisplayPort source (e.g. PC/notebook/workstation) to a display unit with HDMI input (monitor/display/TV/projector). The DisplayPort connector is designed with a locking mechanism and thus supports a secure connection in environments with high levels of movement or maintenance.

The design is passive and basically monodirectional: the cable only works in the direction DisplayPort (source) → HDMI (display). Background: Many DisplayPort outputs can provide an HDMI-compatible signal; however, an HDMI output does not provide a DisplayPort signal. An active converter is required for the reverse direction (HDMI → DisplayPort).

Gold-plated contacts as well as foil and braided shielding support stable signal transmission in professional installations, e.g. in the workplace and conference area or with structured cabling in IT environments.
