Description

The DINIC fibre optic adapter LC/APC socket to SC/APC plug serves as a compact interface between a single-mode fibre optic cable with LC/APC plug and a port with SC/APC socket. This allows existing LC-based routes to be easily combined with active components or patch panels with SC/APC connection without changing the fibre optic cabling.

The APC polish with bevelled ferrule supports low back reflection and stable attenuation values in the single-mode range. The simplex version is designed for a single fibre and is suitable for typical point-to-point connections in WAN, MAN and campus infrastructures.

Thanks to its compact design, the adapter can be used directly on devices, patch panels or fibre optic termination boxes with SC/APC sockets. This reduces the effort involved in migration, test set-ups or temporary connections and enables a clean, standard-compliant connection of LC/APC patch cables to SC/APC infrastructures.

Compatibility

Designed for single-mode patch cables with LC/APC connectors on the cable side and for devices, patch panels, couplers or modules with SC/APC sockets on the opposite side. Typical remote stations are media converters, fibre optic CPE, active transmission technology, OLT/ONT, SC/APC patch panels and fibre optic termination boxes.
