Product description
This hot device extension connects an IEC 60320 C14 power outlet (e.g. PDU/UPS/power distribution in the rack) with an IEC 60320 C15 device supply cable. The C15 coupling is intended for applications with an increased operating temperature at the device inlet and is typically used for heat-generating devices and IT components with a "hot condition" inlet.
The H05V2V2-F (3G1.0 mm²) cable used is designed as a flexible, heat-resistant PVC hose cable for more demanding temperature environments. The conductor cross-section of 1.0 mm² supports a stable voltage drop in short extension sections and is suitable for installation-related extensions in distribution and equipment cabinets.
Note on plug compatibility: The design of C15 is based on C13/C14 and - depending on the device version - can also fit into C14 device inlets. However, the combination C15 (coupling) with C16 (appliance inlet) is intended for higher temperature requirements; IEC couplings (C13) are not suitable for warm/hot appliance connections.
