This internal S-ATA cable (7-pin) is used to connect Serial ATA data ports, e.g. between mainboard or controller (HBA/RAID) and SATA HDD/SSD or optical drives. Both sides are designed as straight S-ATA connectors and support clean, standard-compliant point-to-point cabling within PC, industrial or server housings.

Regardless of whether a system uses SATA 1, SATA 2 or SATA 3, identical SATA data cables can be used; the achievable data rate is determined by port and device capability. The length of 0.50 m is designed for typical internal installation situations and supports tidy cable routing in the housing.
